In-mold decorating and labeling processes have proven themselves to be popular with plastics decorators and molders, and AES Moldes is following this tendency. We have added to our fields of specialization the development and manufacturing of molds that integrate foils and other decorative materials into the injection process.

These technologies are addressing the growing consumer’s demand for increased functionality, stylized designs and performance. More and more we are seeing design trends that incorporate full-color, multifunction touchscreens and capacitive switches. These have come to gradually displace traditional mechanical and resistive touch User Interfaces with IMD-FIM (film/foil insert molding) on automotive and appliance applications.
