BME Akademie

Price and quality of manufactured components are significantly influenced by the design, quality and costs of the corresponding tool. Although the processing of plastic and the necessary tools represent a major cost factor, the technical understanding of injection moulding tools is often not common in purchasing. The suppliers of tools for plastic processing are aware of this fact.

In addition, the purchase of tools also harbours numerous legal pitfalls. Especially with the often very expensive tools, legal ambiguities and a lack of contractual security can quickly lead to considerable financial damage.

In order to prepare purchasing for these challenges, the BME Academy offered a seminar as part of the Moulding Expo. In addition, the participants could exclusively take part in a guided tour and the VDWF stand festival.

BME Seminar

Technisches Grundwissen für den Einkauf - Spritzgusswerkzeuge, Seminarleiter: Prof. Dr. Tilko Dietert

The aim of the seminar was, on the one hand, to get to know the technical specifics of the injection moulding process. This cleared up which processes are necessary for processing plastics and which technical solutions make sense. On the other hand, the participants' awareness of legal issues when purchasing tools was sharpened and practical solutions for legally secure tool purchasing were shown.
