hy-fcell Conference

This is where the Who's Who of the international hydrogen and fuel cell industry meets.

With a strong program and top-class speakers, the hy-fcell conference 2023 from September 13 to 14 at ICS International Congress Center Stuttgart of Messe Stuttgart provided the platform to discuss global challenges and technological advances, learn about solutions and exchange views on the prospects in the global energy sector. Hy-fcell 2023 included both a high-profile conference with more than 80 speakers from around the world and from various industries, as well as an exhibition area. One of the highlights was the hy-fcell Networking Night with the honoring of the hy-fcell Award winners, which invited to extensive networking with drinks and food.

More than 20 years the hy-fcell conference is an absolute must for the energy industry.

Comments on conference

  • “Hydrogen based products are key to return to the 1.5 degree path, however challenging that will be. Germany still one of the most creative and productive countries in that area with a worldwide respected network of industries, research institutes and universities.”

Matthias Braun | Aramco Fuel Research Center (AFRC), France

  • “The event stays at the forefront of networking opportunities, bringing together numerous stakeholders. Everyone will find what she or he is looking for: either recent findings in the research, technological advances, scale-up strategies, updates on pilot actions and insight from the bird’s eye view perspective.”

Prof. Jakub Kupecki, D.Sc., Ph.D | Head of Center for Hydrogen Technologies (CTH2), Poland

  • "This year marks the twenty-second edition of the f-cell Award. We have an important message to impart: Hydrogen and fuel cell technologies hold the key to an environmentally friendly economy. The ideas around application-oriented progress in the field of fuel cells submitted as part of this competition all contribute to advancing hydrogen as the fourth pillar of the energy transformation, alongside energy efficiency, the development of renewable energies and electrification."

Dr Andre Baumann, State Secretary at the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Environment, Climate Protection and the Energy Sector.

  • "Hydrogen and fuel cell technologies have reached a pivotal moment, it’s now clear that there is a critical role for both in decarbonising transport and energy markets. We look forward to meeting our customers at F-Cell 2022 to accelerate the adoption of fuel cell technologies and realise the goal of achieving net-zero by 2050."

Jason Cox, Commercial Director, Johnson Matthey

  • "In our view, the fuel cell can become a real gamechanger, as a link in a sector-coupled hydrogen economy. Although one of the essential keys to market success lies in its industrialization. I anticipate interesting impulses and approaches for the emission-free mobility of tomorrow at f-cell in Stuttgart."

Dr. Gernot Stellberger, CFO/Managing Director, EKPO Fuel Cell Technologies GmbH

  • "Fuel cells will play an important role in the efficient generation of electricity with green hydrogen, both in terrestrial transport and in aviation, as they already are in space travel. This topic is central for the German Aerospace Center and we have been researching it for decades. f-cell is an established trade fair for the presentation of innovations in fuel cells and electrolysers because we have the opportunity to come into contact with experts and with interested industry."

Prof. Dr. Andreas K. Friedrich, Head of the Department of Electrochemical Energy Technology, German Aerospace Center (DLR) Institute of Technical Thermodynamics
