One of the largest and most diverse locations for your event in southern Germany

[Translate to English:]

Everything needs to be right when it comes to choosing an event location: the size of the rooms, the interior fittings, the technology available and service provided, and of course the architecture and general ambience. Messe Stuttgart provides a variety of event locations unique to southern Germany, along with comprehensive expertise in the planning and implementation of every type of event, ranging from company celebrations, anniversaries and employee events to general assemblies and party conferences, or customer and sales events.

The ten modern halls with a total floor space of 120,000 m², along with the C1 congress hall in the ICS International Congress Center with its 2,700 m², can be flexibly arranged to suit events of any size thanks to variable room concepts. The 40,000 m² of open space on the grounds of Messe Stuttgart is also perfect for hosting open-air or tent events.

Event locations with award-winning architecture

The architecture at Messe Stuttgart has won many awards. With draped roof forms and generously glazed façades, its innovative appearance and distinctive character provide a spectacular backdrop to any top-class event.

The ICS International Congress Center Stuttgart is a favourite among our customers when it comes to planning events. Modern architecture is combined with a flexible arrangement of rooms and spaces to create the perfect location for special events. The C1 congress hall caters for up to 3,000 people; the C2 multifunctional hall for up to 5,000 people. Partition walls offer maximum flexibility and further options are provided by the 33 conference rooms on the upper floor. Direct access from the underground car park to the ICS, as well as the short distances from nearby hotels, are highly rated aspects when organising any event.

The largest trade fair hall in southern Germany, the L-Bank Forum (Hall 1), is particularly suited to hosting large events due to its versatility and superb location within the trade fair complex. Covering an area of 26,800 m², this hall caters for up to 13,000 people. A gallery spanning the entire circumference of the hall provides an attractive additional space of 5,900 m² for catering, VIP areas or exhibitions, for example.

With its 14,600 m², the Paul Horn Halle (Hall 10) is the second largest location on the grounds of Messe Stuttgart. The latest addition to the trade fair complex stands out from the other halls with its transparent design and timber construction. Halls 3–9 each cover 10,500 m². All halls have natural light and can be darkened if necessary.

Convenient travel for event guests

Messe Stuttgart and the ICS are conveniently accessible from the airport, the motorway or using public transport. The grounds of Messe Stuttgart are the only trade fair grounds in Germany in such close proximity to an international airport, with only a few minutes’ walking distance from the terminal.

The A8 and A81 motorways are directly adjacent to the trade fair grounds. Travelling from Zurich or Paris with the high-speed train to Stuttgart’s main train station takes little more than three hours. From here, the suburban and city trains will quickly take you and your guests to the grounds. A new long-distance train station is currently being built and will provide a direct connection to Messe Stuttgart from other international cities.

It is possible to organise events sustainably, one does not exclude the other. For more than 16 years, we have actively promoted sustainability and increasingly taken measures to minimise our carbon footprint. In 2023, Messe Stuttgart was recognised with the German Sustainability Award in the Event and Trade Fair Industry category. As a certified ClimatePartner, we calculate our greenhouse gas emissions, define and continually implement reduction targets, and finance climate protection projects. Our central concerns are careful use of resources and environmentally responsible behaviour.

Around 65 events of all sizes are planned and organised by our Guest Events & Congresses department every year. Our sales experts provide a professional service to help you navigate the initial stages of organising a trade fair event, from the initial enquiry and tour of the premises to the offer phase and conclusion of a contract. Our experienced project managers are then on hand to assist with the detailed planning, the coordination of trades and running of the event itself. Designated contacts, also from the Technical Event Service, ensure the event runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible. This is also guaranteed by our sophisticated infrastructure: logistics spaces and loading areas are found at all locations, optimising setup and dismantling times.

In close collaboration with the Region Stuttgart Convention Bureau, we are more than happy to provide professional assistance when reserving hotel rooms for your event guests. There are three hotels within walking distance of the trade fair grounds and around 12,000 rooms altogether within a radius of 20 km. Throughout the Stuttgart region, there are 24,000 rooms available to overnight guests. The accommodation on offer ranges from luxury hotels to family-run guest houses.
