Current applications of 3D printing for first time at WETEC14.11.2019 - 01:00
Join in, try out and test - that's what the diverse framework offer will be all about at WETEC, which will take place from 30 January to 1 February 2020 in Stuttgart. The international trade fair for signmaking, large format printing, light advertising and digital signage will include impressive special shows, specialist forums and activity areas in the Jacques Lanners Hall (Hall 3). Specialist visitors will find a comprehensive product portfolio presented by around 100 exhibitors from Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Denmark, Poland, Austria and the Netherlands.
Learning by trying out
For the first time at WETEC, the "3D Print WORLD" will highlight the theme of current progress and options for the use of 3D printing in advertising technology. In the trade fair halls, companies will showcase their innovations and products in interesting presentations: With a 3D desktop printer, Mimaki Deutschland GmbH will demonstrate how the production of jigs can be both inexpensive and simple. The specialist visitors can obtain an impression of samples already produced by the 3DUJ-553 3D full-colour printer. Using a 3D printer desktop and large-format exhibits, Karl Gröner GmbH will show what dimensions can be realised already today. Exceptional 3D print applications for the retail trade and exhibition presentations will be highlighted by MASSIVit with the model 1800 Pro, which makes possible the production of outdoor advertising elements, displays and sculptures in large format, high resolution and perfectly reproducible.
In the "WORK AND DO Area", the main emphasis will be on the transfer of knowledge by trying out. The experienced advertising technicians from signforum24 will illustrate the interplay of various applications of advertising technology. Visitors can themselves get involved and learn the tricks from the professionals. In the WORK AND DO Area, a complete production sequence from data input to design and the finished product will be demonstrated. Machines and equipment from many manufacturers in the sector are available for testing and trying out. With help from the visitors, a complete stand with decorated walls and an illuminated advertising system will be created.
Also the "WRAPandSTYLE Area" will encourage participation, the top foilers in the sector will share their knowledge in cooperation with the team from Folien + Zubehör Technischer Großhandel. The focus of the activity area will be on several theme areas: Firstly, big names from the sector such as 3M and Avery Dennison will demonstrate the opportunities of vehicle wrapping with digital print or colour foils, and the stone chip protection on a 3D element and on an engine bonnet. Visitors can also see how interior refinement with design foils is done by the experts.
In addition, F+Z und Intercoat, a foil manufacturer from Germany, will highlight the apparently forgotten possibilities of classical vehicle lettering. Some complex design solutions will be demonstrated to visitors on location, who will also be encouraged to participate. Climate protection is also a foil topic. In the WRAPandSTYLE Area, flat glass and safety films will be shown with which a special heat protection and the reduction of heat loss can be achieved.
Exchange of knowledge between experts
In the specialist forum, the programme includes presentations and best-practice examples of topics that move the sectors. Exhibitors and experts will share their valuable know-how with the specialist visitors. Interested companies can apply for a presentation slot up until 15 December. Contact partner for the WETEC Specialist Forum is Cristina D'Elia, telephone: +49 711 18560-2679, e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
