Visus GigE cameras enter full series production

The Imaging Source is pleased to announce that the Visus series of GigE industrial cameras has officially entered full series production. After a successful prototype phase, the Visus platform is now available for standard ordering and ready for OEM and system-integration projects across a wide range of industrial imaging and machine vision applications.

A Modern and Compact GigE Vision Camera Platform
Visus was designed to offer a future-proof GigE Vision platform with a compact 29 × 29 × 44 mm form factor, making it a strong fit for space-restricted industrial environments. The cameras support Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), 1× Trigger/GPIn, 2× GPIOs, and full GigE Vision and GenICam SFNC compatibility, ensuring rapid integration into existing vision systems and software.

The platform architecture consolidates FPGA, RAM, and Flash into a unified design block, enabling more efficient processing, simplified firmware management, and faster system integration.

All Sensor Variants Now in Production
All Visus sensor variants are now shipping, delivering a flexible platform for a wide range of machine-vision tasks:

• Sony IMX900: 3.2 MP, Global Shutter
• onsemi AR0521: 5 MP, Rolling Shutter
• Sony IMX568: 5 MP, Global Shutter
• Sony IMX676: 12.5 MP, Rolling Shutter
• onsemi AR2020: 19.7 MP, Rolling Shutter
