Schneider-Kreuznach expands the industrial optics portfolio with AMBER lens family
At launch, the AMBER family includes four lenses: AMBER 2.8/40 V38, AMBER 4.0/60 V38, AMBER 4.0/80 V38, and AMBER 5.6/100 V38, covering focal lengths from 40 to 100 millimeters. Depending on the model, aperture ranges from f/2.8 to f/32 are available. All lenses feature a V38 mount and support sensor sizes of up to 82 millimeters.
The AMBER series has been developed and designed in Bad Kreuznach. The lenses are manufactured by certified partners in Asia in accordance with our defined strict quality standards.
With their compact design, high vibration-resistance and homogeneous imaging performance across the entire image field, the lenses are well suited for a wide range of machine vision and inspection tasks. Minimal chromatic aberrations and low distortion further contribute to the high image quality.
“With the AMBER series, we are addressing the growing demand for high‑performance yet economically attractive lenses for standard industrial applications,” says Magnus Greger, Lead Business Unit Industry at Schneider‑Kreuznach. “These lenses are a perfect addition to our portfolio and enable our customers to implement reliable machine vision solutions at a competitive price point.”
From a product perspective, the focus was clearly on combining optical performance with cost efficiency. “For the AMBER series, we deliberately concentrated on the key optical characteristics required in many inspection applications,” explains Steffen Mahler, Product Manager at Schneider‑Kreuznach. “The result is a robust lens with very homogeneous image quality, ideally suited for cost‑sensitive projects.”
