Experience textile production!

A polo shirt within the hour, demonstrated live from start to finish: from the 3D design to a finished product
The digitally networked “Digital Textile Micro Factory” production line was coordinated by the German Institutes for Textile and Fibre Research (DITF), in cooperation with renowned partners. In addition to the Albstadt-Sigmaringen University and TH Köln, University of Applied Sciences, manufacturers and retailers such as Assyst, Caddon, HP, Multi-Plot Europe, Schöller Textil, Rebstock Consulting and Zünd Systemtechnik, among others, presented their software and hardware solutions, along with materials and know-how, in order to demonstrate this innovative production approach.

Using 3D simulation, the design is prepared for cutting and assembly. For this purpose, identifying QR codes as well as position markers for later position recognition are integrated into the production order. These steps are implemented by Assyst GmbH and the university of applied sciences Albstadt-Sigmaringen.

VR product presentation by the Technical University of Cologne, which, as part of the Retail 4.0 project, makes realistic rendering and accurate color rendering of garments on mobile VR displays tangible on site.

The multispectral color communication of Caddon printing & imaging GmbH brings the visual impression together with exact measured values - pixel for pixel. The multispectral technology guarantees colour fidelity.

The designs are printed on transfer paper using sublimation systems from HP Deutschland GmbH.

Optimum printing results are guaranteed by the heat setting in the calander, carried out by system partner Multi-Plot.

Using QR codes, the job is recognized by camera. Printed registration marks enable automated and exact position recognition. The textile is then cut fully automatically according to the selected application parameters on digital flatbed systems from Zünd Systemtechnik AG. This area is implemented by our sales partner Rebstock Consulting GmbH & Co. KG.

The individual components are assembled in the assembly department on machines manufactured by Konrad Busche GmbH & Co. KG and assembled live to finished products.
