T4M: Messe Stuttgart pooling medical technology know-how26.04.2019
The medical technology industry will celebrate the première of T4M – Technology for Medical Devices - in Stuttgart from 7 to 9 May 2019. Suppliers from every relevant production area of medical technology, for example FANUC Deutschland, Citizen Machinery Europe, Gindele, FOBA Laser Marking + Engraving| Alltec and XIMEA, will meet manufacturers and distributors at the trade fair. An extensive accompanying programme featuring, for example, over 130 talks, workshops and guided tours of T4M, will primarily offer representatives from purchasing, product development and manufacturing the opportunity for purposeful networking and advanced training on all three days of the trade fair. "With its clear emphasis on production and manufacturing of medical technology, T4M will again focus on maximum efficiency. Visitors and exhibitors will acquire valuable business contacts and obtain future-oriented momentum in Stuttgart," said Project Manager Tanja Wendling.
The impetus for digitalisation and new and further technological developments will be provided, for example, by over 55 start-ups which will be present centrally at T4M in the exhibition area and on a pitching stage. Several experts will also simultaneously explain in their talks - for example on the topic of "medical apps" and "medical technology in the Cloud" - how digital change will influence manufacturers of medical technology products. Information and opinions on the new regulation of medical technology products in the EU will be exchanged in Stuttgart: for example, the Tuttlingen-based cluster MedicalMountains is organising a podium discussion with politicians and representatives from industry. In addition to traditional production methods, participants in the medical technology trade fair will be able to look more closely at smart technologies such as additive manufacturing which can be used to develop and produce medical technology products more quickly, more flexibly and with lower costs. The exhibitors' products relating to this topic will be supplemented by suitable talks, e.g. by Dr. med. Ahmed Ghazy from the Cardiac Surgery Department at Mainz University, who will describe the potential applications of 3-D printing technology in relation to the heart, the thorax and vascular surgery.
