Delicious smells waft through the exhibition halls while taste, quality and craftsmanship are combined with real enjoyment, technical innovations and the latest trends: südback from 21 to 24 September 2019 is already a fixed date in the diaries of the bakery trade. Messe Stuttgart will then become the meeting point for the bakery and confectionery trades once again. Trade visitors from more than 80 countries and international exhibitors will meet in order to exchange ideas and experiences, make use of networking opportunities and obtain information on trends, know-how and innovations. Around 20 per cent of the exhibitors have already registered for the trade fair.
The success of the trade fair in the last few years and its increasing internationalisation will lead to the next step in the forthcoming südback: more exhibition space and a changed hall structure. In addition to Halls 5, 7 and 9, the Oskar Lapp Hall (Hall 6) and the Alfred Kärcher Hall (Hall 8), südback will also occupy the new Paul Horn Hall (Hall 10). Overall, the amount of exhibition space will increase by 10,000 square metres. This also means that a wider range of products and services will be offered. The new hall constellation will promote a circulating flow of visitors around the trade fair grounds.
Colourful accompanying programme will complement the trade fair
In addition to the exhibitors' products and services, a wide-ranging accompanying programme will provide numerous opportunities for professional discussions. Entertaining demonstrations, the presentation of new techniques and ideas, trends and recipes are important programme components in both the Bakers' Trend Forum and the Confectioners' Trend Forum. The first-class südback Trend Award will also be presented for the twelfth time in 2019 in recognition of technical innovations, design and concepts.
Interest has grown continuously since the first südback was held in 1978. Trade visitors from home and abroad will find here a wide range of products and services for all areas in the bakery and confectionery trades. In addition to raw materials, working and operating technology, and shop fixtures and fittings, other focal points of the trade fair include merchandise, sales promotion, services and management aspects. Both popular trends and classic offerings can be found at südback. They attract decision-makers from the bakery trade to Stuttgart together with visitors from restaurants, hotels and catering companies.
