In efforts to prevent the spread of the respiratory virus, China has cancelled any large events scheduled to take place in the country

Scheduled to be held in Shanghai at the end of February, the decision has been taken to postpone the R+T Asia 2020. Reason being the recent outbreak of the coronavirus. In efforts to prevent the respiratory virus from spreading further, the local government in Shanghai has cancelled all major events due to take place in February. A new date in June 2020 is already being discussed, confirmation of which will be communicated at the earliest convenience.

“In terms of organisation, this situation certainly presents a challenge for our exhibitors, partners and visitors, as well as the trade fair team. However: the decision to postpone the event is absolutely understandable. The health of visitors and exhibitors must take priority,” says Roland Bleinroth, President of Landesmesse Stuttgart GmbH. The company is working closely with the national authorities responsible in order to monitor the situation and how it develops.

R+T Asia is the leading Asian trade fair for roller shutters, doors/gates, windows and sun protection, and takes place every year at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) in China.
