At R+T 2027, Becker-Antriebe will present itself in Hall 7, Stand C12, with a completely new stand design and concept. A fresh colour scheme, new materials and a revised product layout will provide the setting for numerous new products and further developments. In this interview, Managing Director Maik Wiegelmann explains what trade visitors can expect in Stuttgart.

Mr Wiegelmann, Becker-Antriebe will have a new presence at R+T 2027. What can visitors expect?

Maik Wiegelmann: At R+T 2027, we’ll be in Hall 7, Stand C12, with a completely new stand design and concept. A fresh colour scheme, new materials and a revised product layout will provide the setting for numerous new products and further developments.

Solar is one of the key themes. What exactly will you be showcasing?

Maik Wiegelmann: One of the highlights is the SolarKit SK460, which will also be available with CentronicPlus radio technology and feedback. This solar-powered solution enables the mains-independent automation of roller shutters and screens, combining sustainable energy supply with the capabilities of modern home automation. We’ll also offer a preview of our future solar portfolio.

You’ll also be presenting another new product, the CentralControl CC11. What can this control unit do?

Maik Wiegelmann: This compact, plug-in control unit enables the local automation of roller shutters, sun shading and other applications without the need for an additional central control unit. End users can operate it conveniently using the Be:You app. Specialist retailers, meanwhile, can use the Becker Tool, which supports tasks such as commissioning and configuring CentronicPlus installations.

Smart homes and connecting different systems are major topics for the industry. What role will Matter play at your stand?

Maik Wiegelmann: Matter will also play a central role at our stand, demonstrating how Becker solutions can be integrated into different smart home environments in an open and future-proof way. Our portfolio will also include the new VC180 PLUS radio-controlled socket, the solar-powered SC631 PLUS window light sensor and two new dimmers based on CentronicPlus radio technology. Solutions based on SMI 3.0 for professional building automation will also feature.

There’s also a new generation of conventional roller shutter drives. What makes the E29 stand out?

Maik Wiegelmann: With the E29, we’re presenting a new generation of system roller shutter drives with electronic limit setting. Used in combination with the TC72, it offers flexible installation and convenient control. The timer and sun shading control can also be configured easily via an app.

You’ve dedicated an area of your stand to “Extended Applications”—uses beyond roller shutters and sun shading. What will visitors see there?

Maik Wiegelmann: This area will show that our drive technology expertise extends well beyond roller shutters and sun shading. Visitors will see, among other things, automated sliding glass windows and solutions for smoke and fire protection, one of which received an R+T Innovation Award in 2024. We’ll also demonstrate the many other applications that can be automated using Becker tubular drives.

With so many new products, what are you personally most looking forward to at R+T 2027?

Maik Wiegelmann: Above all, we’re looking forward to meeting our customers and partners in person, as well as welcoming new visitors. R+T is the ideal opportunity to present our latest products and show the breadth of Becker’s offering—from sustainable, smart solutions to specialised applications. Our new stand concept will provide the perfect setting.
