R+T Turkey: 28 - 30 November 2019
R+T Turkey reinforced its position as the industry’s international platform with 36% of exhibitors from abroad. The number of exhibitors from abroad rose by 7% over the previous event. 5,000 visitors attended the third R+T Turkey in Istanbul from 1 to 4 March, 2017.
R+T Asia: 24- 26 February 2020
R+T Asia 2018 set new records. The total number of visitors increased by 10 percent over the 2017 show, exceeding 34,000 visitors. With 500 exhibitors and the same occupied exhibition space as 2017 (50.000 sqm gross), it retained its position as the most important trade fair for sun protection systems and doors/gates in the Asia-Pacific zone. Yet R+T Asia is not just a popular hub for business in China: the international visitors from all over the Asia-Pacific zone demonstrate the event’s importance outside of China.
R+T South America: 3 - 6 June 2020
R+T South America is the first specialized trade fair dedicated to roller shutters, doors/ gates and sun protection system in the Mercosur market. The youngest offshoot of R+T is the new platform for national and international manufacturers and dealers.

Top ratings for R+T South America23.05.2018
The second R+T South America, the international trade fair for roller shutters, doors/gates and sun protection systems (9 – 12 May 2018), finished with top ratings from exhibitors and visitors. The strong national and international brand presence at the São Paulo Expo trade fair centre was very well received by the 7,256 visitors: The visitors gave the event an overall rating of 1.6 and spent on average 1.7 days at the trade fair. 94 percent of the visitors would recommend the event and 93 percent would like to attend the event again.
The high international character of the visitors (12 percent) confirms that the youngest offshoot of R+T with the second event in South America is very well accepted. Some visitors from Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Columbia and the USA travelled very long distances. The high quality of the visitors is reflected by the 80 percent of visitors who are involved in making decisions during the purchasing process, 49 percent of whom are decision-makers. 81 percent of the visitors came to the trade fair with specific intentions to make investments. The main areas of interest of the visitors were roller shutters (76 percent), awnings (42 percent), window shutters (29 percent), components (26 percent) and internal sun protection (24 percent).
Participation of international and national industry giants
Besides Brazil, the 52 exhibitors came from nine other countries (Australia, China, India, Italy, Korea, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, USA), including leading international brands such as Nice, Vertilux, Nevaluz, Berteks or A-OK. Ricardo Ferreira, Sales Manager at Nice for South America, reports why Nice was active in Brazil in 2018: "The control systems of Venetian blinds and roller shutters are the most sought-after products in our portfolio. The customers here at the trade fair were very curious and displayed keen interest. The requirements of modern buildings are increasing and naturally we are also not remaining on the sidelines here in Brazil when it comes to competition in technology."
With 53 percent of the area occupied by international companies, the level of interest from foreign companies remains as high as ever compared with the début event (2016: 52 percent). Despite the difficulties of the past few years for the Brazilian industry, the occupied exhibition area remained constant: National industry leaders such as Centerlux, Injetec de Friburgo, Textil J. Serrano or GTextile occupied 47 percent of the area at R+T South America. Ricardo Augusto Caseiro de Sousa, President of Injetec de Friburgo, is convinced that R+T South America is very well accepted on the market: "We are here for the second time at R+T South America because it is simply the most important trade fair for our market in Brazil. We finally have the platform via which we can reach all our customers in the one location and get new customers, also from South America, enthusiastic about our products."
The President of the Brazilian Trade Association for Venetian Blinds, Curtains and Awnings (Abrape), Lauro Miguel Alttomar, shares his impressions: "The stands are more professional, the focus is now clearly on concluding business. At the trade fair we were able to convince many prospective new members of the potential of the event. Our industry is on the upswing and we are expecting growth of over ten percent this year."
Companies such as Berteks (Turkey), Hansol IMB (Korea) or A-OK (China) took part in all three R+T trade fairs in 2018 (Stuttgart, Shanghai and São Paulo), confirmation of the huge trust in the brand and concept of the leading world trade fair.
Benefit of synergy effects from Glass South America
The realisation of Glass South America, the largest event of the glass industry in South America, at the same time proved successful. Both events benefited from an overlap of the target groups and themes, such as integrated solutions for thermal insulation with glass and sun protection. Half of the R+T visitors used the opportunity to also obtain information about innovations on the topic of glass. Both events will coincide again from 3 - 6 June 2020.
