GfA at R+T 2027 – Hands-on technology, face-to-face conversations

GfA ELEKTROMATEN combines established drive technology with digital applications, such as the evodo ecosystem, at R+T 2027. Visitors can test the innovations directly at the stand. Head of Sales Jörg Madest explains the highlights.

“Hands-on technology, face-to-face conversations”

With its new TS-C generation of door/gate controls and the evodo digital ecosystem, GfA ELEKTROMATEN is bringing solutions to R+T that connect established drive technology with digital applications. Visitors will be able not only to discover the new possibilities at the stand, but also to try them out for themselves. In this interview, Jörg Madest, Head of Sales at GfA ELEKTROMATEN, explains which innovations will take centre stage, why feedback from the industry is so important to further development—and why personal interaction remains essential despite increasing digitalisation.

What can visitors expect at your stand?

Jörg Madest: As always, you’ll find us in a central location in Hall 8. And we’ll have plenty to show. The focus will be on our new TS-C generation of door/gate controls and the evodo digital ecosystem. We don’t just want to present them—we want visitors to experience them for themselves.

That’s why we actively encourage visitors to try things out. At six display screens and additional workstations, they can test features and see how the hardware and digital applications work together. With evodo Sync and evodo Toolkit, we’ll demonstrate options for software updates, parameterisation and diagnostics. We’ll also offer a glimpse of applications to come.

It’s important to us not only to present finished solutions, but also to talk with visitors. What works for them? What else would they like to see? What will the industry need tomorrow? The feedback we receive at the trade fair is at least as valuable to us as presenting our products. Because as digital as our technology has become, personal interaction remains analogue—and that’s a good thing. After all, good customer relationships aren’t built with a click of the mouse. In short, we want to offer hands-on technology, showcase new possibilities and have lots of great conversations.

Which products will be in the spotlight?

Jörg Madest: The clear highlight is our new TS-C generation of door/gate controls. It brings together proven features, many years of practical experience and new market requirements, and replaces the previous TS-A (TS 981) and TS-B (TS 959, TS 970 and TS 971) generations.

We haven’t turned everything upside down. We’ve retained what has proved its worth and developed it further where new requirements and added convenience make sense—for example, with the integrated operating calendar.

Fast, intuitive commissioning was particularly important to us. That’s why we drew directly on experience with the previous generations throughout development. We also designed the enclosure with practical use in mind. With five variants—TS 91, TS 92, TS 93, TS 95 and TS 96—customers can choose the right control system for a wide range of door applications.

The TS-C is complemented by an extensive range of accessories. The new DIF interface, for example, allows users to connect modules for induction loops and interlocking systems, as well as our command devices with an integrated display. The TS-C also comes with another important feature as standard: it is internet-enabled. This makes connectivity with the evodo digital ecosystem an integral part of the system.

evodo Sync and evodo Toolkit are app-based solutions for documented software updates, parameterisation and diagnostics. The evodo Web platform also enables customised applications, for example to monitor and analyse the drive technology used in door systems.

This brings together proven, practice-oriented hardware with the possibilities of an increasingly digital world. At the same time, the TS-C meets current legal requirements and is prepared for the EU Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230.

What are you most looking forward to?

Jörg Madest: The people, without a doubt. R+T is a great opportunity for us to meet customers and partners, reconnect with familiar faces and, of course, make new contacts.

Personal interaction is especially valuable in an increasingly digital world. We’re looking forward to seeing how visitors respond to the TS-C and evodo, and to hearing their questions, suggestions and new ideas.

Every time, R+T feels a little like coming home. We’re looking forward to inspiring conversations and a great atmosphere.
