R+T team reorganises itself

16.04.2019

Melanie Brenner returns / Vanessa Kunz new Communication Manager for R+T Stuttgart

At the beginning of January, Senior Project Manager Melanie Brenner returned to the R+T team. With her know-how, she has already supported Messe Stuttgart projects for over ten years, and has made a significant contribution to the continuing success of the leading world trade fair for roller shutters, doors/gates and sun protection systems. At the start of 2017, Brenner started a two-year period of maternity leave, and has now returned full of zeal and new ideas: "After my break, I'm now particularly looking forward to seeing the many familiar faces, but also meeting new people in the R+T family, and together with them to develop R+T further as the most important international event for the industry."

Also in January 2019, Vanessa Kunz reinforced the trade fair team as the new Communication Manager. She replaces Astrid Ehm, who had already transferred to the Business & Education division at Messe Stuttgart in mid-2018. Kunz studied media and business communication at the DHBW Ravensburg, and in the following years she worked in the field of marketing and PR in broadcasting, as well as in publishing companies. Kunz completes the R+T team with Melanie Brenner, Philipp Götz, Ina Fröhlich and Department Head Sebastian Schmid. "That our team in various constellations repeatedly develops new potentials for our leading world trade fair has been shown several times in recent years. I am delighted at the return of our experienced colleague Melanie Brenner, as well as the fresh air provided by Vanessa Kunz. With these two colleagues, we are ideally prepared for the next R+T, and we look towards the event full of optimism," adds Sebastian Schmid.

The next edition of the world’s leading trade fair for roller shutters, doors/gates and sun protection systems will take place in 2021, for the first time from Monday to Friday, 22 to 26 February, at the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre.

About R+T
For over 50 years, companies have been presenting their innovations and demonstrating their solutions for the central themes in the industry at R+T, the leading world trade fair for roller shutters, doors/gates and sun protection systems. During the trade fair or at one of the numerous evening events, R+T provides an opportunity to exchange ideas and opinions with colleagues, and is the ideal platform for intensive specialist discussions.
Several specialist forums and network events ensure that contacts are made and give participants new impetus for their daily work. As a leading world trade fair, R+T is at the same time a meeting point for the sector, a trend barometer and an innovation platform.

With the Federal Association for Manufacturers of Roller Shutters and Sun Protection (BVRS), the National Federation of Door and Gate Manufacturers (BVT) and the Industrial Association for Technical Textiles, Roller Shutters and Sun Protection (ITRS), R+T can count on the support of strong partners who ensure market orientation. A large number of associations and institutions, e.g. the European Solar Shading Organisation (ES-SO) and ift Rosenheim, are involved in R+T and actively help to shape the accompanying programme.

1025 exhibitors (2015: 888) from all corners of the world presented their products and services in Stuttgart in 2018, 774 from abroad. The 65,500 visitors (2015: 59,057) also came from around the world, from over 140 countries. In total, 38,706 visitors came from abroad (2015: 59,057). They spent an average of 2.1 days (2015: 2 days) discovering the innovations and trends at R+T in detail.
