Applications of quantum technologies

User matchmaking

6 and 7 October 2026, 2.00 pm, Game Changer Area (Catering Zone)

Quantum technologies are opening up new application possibilities in industry and science – from sensor technology and imaging, through simulation and optimisation, to secure communications.

The user matchmaking event at Quantum Effects brings together users, potential users, research institutions, exhibitors and technology providers in a targeted manner. In a speed-dating format, participants can network, discuss use cases and get to know potential collaboration partners.

This fosters direct dialogue between companies with specific challenges, those with an initial interest in quantum technology, and stakeholders who can contribute suitable solutions, expertise and research findings.

Why it’s worth attending

  • direct exchange between users, research institutions and providers of quantum technologies

  • targeted networking with key players from research, development and industry

  • new impetus for collaborations, projects and innovation initiatives

  • joint discussion of specific challenges and potential solutions

  • practical insights for the following user sectors:

    • Semiconductors, data centres & high-performance computing

    • Chemistry & materials research

    • Medical, bio- and environmental technology

    • Aerospace & defence

    • Automation, manufacturing & mobility

An accompanying conference programme will highlight which developments are particularly relevant to different user sectors and what opportunities quantum technologies will open up in the future. Programme
