Special show "Learning at full speed"

In the special show "Learning at full speed" everything will revolve around young people and skilled workers. A passion for technology and production will be generated together with the Mechanical Engineering Youth Foundation and the HAWKS Racing Team from Hamburg University of Applied Sciences.

HAWKS Racing e. V.

HAWKS Racing e. V. is the Formula Student Team at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. The Team was founded in 2003 and has been taking part with racing cars in Formula Student events, the largest international design competition for students, since 2004.

The Team comprises more than 50 students who design, construct and produce a racing car every year.

In 2021 the Team switched over from internal combustion engines to electric engines and established itself in the area of electric vehicle concepts in Formula Student. At the end of October 2023 the Team reached a milestone in the area of autonomous systems: H18, the car in the 2022/23 season, drove for the first time without a driver!

Drop by Stand A1.748 and take a look at the latest vehicle of the HAWKS Racing Team.

Mechanical Engineering Youth Foundation

Germany has top-class technological prowess. However, in such an innovative industry as mechanical engineering and plant construction, there is an acute shortage of qualified skilled workers. The Mechanical Engineering Youth Foundation was established in 2009 in order to counter this trend.

Under the motto "aktiv gestalten" (Playing an active role), the Mechanical Engineering Youth Foundation focuses on the development and implementation of practical and sustainable projects in the area of vocational training. The Mechanical Engineering Youth Foundation is primarily a supporting partner for trainers in mechanical engineering companies and for teachers at general and vocational training schools.

You will soon be able to find all the information about the Mechanical Engineering Youth Foundation's programme here.
