Sustainability in production – a competitive advantage?
Innovative developments can be made in companies when the objective is climate-neutral production. What objectives can be obtained and at what cost? What do customers want? What do (future) employees want?
Production in Europe is constantly faced with new challenges. There is no end to the continuous change in worldwide competition between locations for the most productive and most reliable production conditions. Control variables such as sustainability, resilience, regulations and international supply chains must be taken into account. The current objective is reliable and quick availability of products that are manufactured in a climate-neutral way.
Have we done more in regard to sustainability than our competitors? Will the extra costs be paid? Or are we better because we know how to deal with the regulations?
