3 questions for... Michelle Haußer
Hello Michelle, you've been part of the Guest Events and Congresses team as Manager Sales & Acquisition since February.
How was your start at Messe Stuttgart?
My start at Messe Stuttgart was wonderful. From day one, I was warmly welcomed by the team and immediately felt at home. My colleagues from other departments were also very open and supportive. I particularly appreciated that everyone understands how much there is to learn when joining a new company and the trade fair industry, and that you’re given time to get familiar with everything step by step. During my first few weeks, I was able to gain valuable insights into the trade fair industry and learn a lot. At the same time, I know there is still much more to discover and learn – something I’m really looking forward to.
What are your responsibilities in the Guest Events team?
In the Sales & Acquisition team for guest events, my goal is to attract new events to our exhibition grounds. My main focus is on clients from the IT sector as well as potential organisers from the lifestyle segment. I review incoming enquiries, check available capacities, and prepare customised offers for interested organisers. In addition, part of my role is to actively monitor the market and identify new event concepts that could be a great fit for our location.
What are you most looking forward to in the trade fair year 2026?
In the 2026 trade fair year, I’m especially looking forward to settling even more into my role and acquiring the first events of my own. I find it particularly exciting to then see these events come to life on our grounds. I’m also eager to experience the wide variety of events taking place here and to get to know the diversity of the industry even better.
