WLT: Meet the experts

Meet the experts of WLT in hall 4 at stand 4D23 and get exciting insights into current issues and research projects at the participating institutions.

The Scientific Society of Lasertechnik (WLT) was founded in 1997. The 34 WLT members are heads of large scientific institutions which are mainly concerned with the generation, amplification, shaping, transmission, measurement and application of laser radiation. These include both university institutions and institutes of the Fraunhofer Society, the Max Planck Society, the Leibniz Association, the Helmholtz Association and other non-university institutions.

The work of the WLT focuses on the identification and active promotion of strategic goals in order to further develop laser radiation as a universally applicable "tool" scientifically and to make it usable for new interdisciplinary fields of application in optical technologies.

Through the exchange of experience and, in some cases, joint research and development projects of the institutes of its members, the WLT actively participates in the implementation of new research initiatives. A special concern is the promotion of young talent.
