LASER COMPONENTS Stronger Than Ever after 40 Years

Organic Growth and New Corporate Structure Make the Company Group Fit for the Future

After 40 years in business, LASER COMPONENTS is still well positioned for the future. Since 1982, entrepreneurial foresight and organic growth have created an internationally active group of companies, which at the same time has always remained true to the basic idea of an owner-managed family business. The production facilities on both sides of the Atlantic have specialized in the manufacture of customized optical and optoelectronic components, which are developed in close cooperation with customers. This portfolio is supplemented by products from premium suppliers with whom the company has often been working for decades. This results in a broad range of products for an equally diverse customer base. This allows LASER COMPONENTS to maintain its growth course even during short-term fluctuations in individual markets.

The growth of the past and the associated expansion of international business have culminated in the restructuring of the company group this past year: The operational business of the former LASER COMPONENTS GmbH was transferred to the newly founded LASER COMPONENTS Germany GmbH. Under the name Photona GmbH, the previous company will continue as an umbrella organization. In addition to investment management, important core competencies are also bundled there, which ensure harmonized standards within the group. This means that services of the highest standard can be provided worldwide, which smaller subsidiaries would not be able to handle on their own. The new structure also makes it easier to acquire new companies or technologies. They can be integrated more easily into the existing group of companies and benefit more quickly from its organizational strengths. In keeping with the 40-year tradition, the entire group of companies will continue to be led by Patrick Paul, who is the CEO of both Photona GmbH and LASER COMPONENTS Germany GmbH.
