300th Jenoptik airbag scoring machine goes to China

The long-standing customer and partner Xinquan signed the contract for the 300th JENOPTIK-VOTAN® A Classic laser scoring system at the end of April during the annual plastics trade fair Chinaplas in Shanghai, China. Jiangsu Xinquan Automotive Trim Co LTD. ordered two perforation machines for different technologies and materials.

Founded in April 2001, the company specializes in the manufacture of various interior components for the automotive industry. Jenoptik and Xinquan can look back on a long-standing good partnership, which began with the purchase of the first machine in 2006. Since then, Xinquan has relied on safe and reliable laser technology from Jena. With machines at various locations in China and the technology partnership with Jenoptik, Xinquan is today one of the leading Chinese Tier 1 suppliers for plastic parts in China.

In addition to the JENOPTIK-VOTAN® A Classic, one of the JENOPTIK-VOTAN® A Scan, the latest technology of airbag perforation, is also included in the scope of delivery. This will enable Xinquan to serve the premium vehicle segment. Xinquan is investing in modern plant technology to equip new vehicle generations in China with the laser-weakened airbag flaps in the near future.
