Information and entertainment on the biggest stage

The German hotel and restaurant association DEHOGA is the biggest organisation for the gastronomy and hotel industry, and presents a wide variety of interviews, discussions, speeches and competitions on all five days of INTERGASTRA.

Famous German chefs like Johann Lafer, Alexander Herrmann, Roland Trettl and Cornelia Poletto have been interviewed live on stage and international guests like Mikkel Karstad from Denmark presented fresh ideas on topics like communal catering. Industry experts talk about zero waste concepts, digital strategies for SMEs, or the spites of online distrubution – among other things - at INTERGASTRA 2020.

Exciting professional competitions

Couvert d´Or
Everything revolves around stylishly laid tables in this competition. It is traditionally one of the most popular events in the DEHOGA calendar. It is organised by the Stuttgart branch of the German Association of Masters and Professionals in Restaurant Service and Hospitality (VSR). Two-person teams will professionally lay a table for a five-course menu based on a motto of their own choice. The jury will judge the entries based on professional and creative gastronomic criteria.

Elevator Pitch – DEHOGA Cup
The "Elevator-Pitch BW – DEHOGA Cup" brings a quick succession of exciting business ideas. Company founders and young entrepreneurs from the hospitality and supplier industries will have just three minutes to present ideas to the general public and a jury (that's roughly the length of a journey in an elevator, hence the name Elevator Pitch). The event is organised by the Baden-Württemberg branch of DEHOGA and the Initiative for Start-Ups and Business Transfer (ifex) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Baden-Württemberg.
