The Robert Widmann Cup was awarded as part of INTERGASTRA 2026, as is tradition. The competition for confectioners, organized by the Baden-Württemberg State Guild Association of Confectioners, had the theme “World of Chocolate” in 2026. The task was to create a showpiece: a cake with a topper or a topper with an integrated cake.

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of chocolate! The Robert Widmann Cup 2026 was all about this versatile and popular delicacy. Chocolate not only inspires with its countless flavors, but also offers endless creative possibilities. Whether as a delicate cream, an artistic decoration, or a spectacular showpiece.

Of course, there were also great prizes for the best creations: winner's trophies and certificates were awarded in all three categories. Gold, silver, and bronze medals as well as attractive non-cash prizes awaited you.

The award ceremony took place on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 3:30 p.m.

Requirements:

  • The showpieces, cakes, etc. should have a shelf life of five days.
  • Cake cores or similar may be dummies.
  • Only foodstuffs may be used for decoration.
  • All common materials are permitted.
  • Assembly work must be done on site.
  • There are 2 hours available.
  • One exhibition space of 60 x 60 cm is available per competitor/team.

Voting for the Audience Award "Robert Widmann Cup" took place exclusively on Tuesday, February 10, and Wednesday, February 11 at the confectioners' stand. The participation cards for selecting your favorite were available there.
