The BURGER BATTLE came to Germany!
BURGER BATTLE came to Germany for the first time, taking place during INTERGASTRA 2026! The competition, hosted by Lantmännen Unibake and supported by Homann Foodservice, Danish Crown Professional and Arla® PRO, showcased the talents of six finalists representing the hotel, restaurant and food service sectors. And the challenge? To create a burger that demonstrates their creativity, innovation and signature style, live on stage before an expert jury and enthusiastic trade fair audience.
Dive into the fascinating world of modern burger culture! The BURGER BATTLE provided contestants with the perfect opportunity to showcase hand-crafted perfection, surprising taste combinations and a passion for truly innovative food. Whether it’s outstanding creations, a bold choice of ingredients or perfectly coordinated components – participants were amazed to discover how varied a burger can be and the potential presented by this popular menu item.
There were freshly prepared burger bites, crispy french fries and a selection of beverages served throughout the entire event, providing the perfect party atmosphere for guests to relax and enjoy the competition.
This was not only a chance for participants to achieve fame and recognition, but also win some great prizes and to cement their status as true burger influencers. A panel of experts, including big industry names such as Simon Kolar, Ludwig “Lucki” Maurer and Franziska Weidner, decided the outcome. A small after-party hosted by BURGER BATTLE followed the prize-giving ceremony at 6 pm – the perfect opportunity to chat to the finalists and (re)connect with industry colleagues.
The live grand final took place on 10 February 2026 from 3 pm in the Food & Concept Court of INTERGASTRA – an absolute highlight for anybody who was looking to discover the latest food trends, experience the exciting atmosphere of a top-quality competition and celebrate unique culinary creations.
