The Beer Garden of Regional Diversity
The trend for regional variety and individual beer culture has prevailed for many years now – along with the move away from mass-produced uniformity. INTERGASTRA in Stuttgart was exploring this trend further with its special show “The Beer Garden of Regional Diversity”: more than 80 speciality beers representing southern Germany – from the Allgäu and Upper Swabia to the Tauber Valley, Baden-Württemberg’s Ortenau to the Southern Black Forest and Bavarian Swabia – showcased the lively diversity of the medium-sized breweries. Visitors in 2026 could once again expect a unique selection, distinctive and full of character, among them several internationally recognised premium beers.
WINETASTING
The special Wine Tastings – Masterclass: Guided wine tastings with professionals such as sommelière Christina Hilker and oenologist Thomas Porsch awaited you. Together you dived into the different stylistics of German wines and got practical impulses around sensory analysis, food pairings and the professional handling of wine. You also had the opportunity to have your wine menu reviewed by the two experts and take home tips directly from top gastronomy.
The focus was on conscious tasting, exchange with other wine lovers and inspiration for your everyday professional life or your passion as a private individual.
Deutsche Barkeeper Union (German Bartenders Union)
Hall 7
A central bar was located at the Deutsche Barkeeper Union (DBU) in Hall 7 at Stand 7D22 – an established meeting place for bar professionals and interested visitors. Together with DEHOGA Baden-Württemberg, the DBU showed bar culture live on site and creates a space for meeting, sharing knowledge and ideas and practical impulses.
There was a diverse programme every day with sessions such as "Mein Weg hinter die Bar", "Social Media on the Rocks", No & Low ABV – The Louis Way and Gastronovi Masterclass, presented by professional bartenders from different cities. In addition, a kiosk area on selected days invited you to more compact education formats – perfect for everyone who wants a direct experience of trends, technologies and know-how from the bar trade.
Mineral water in fine dining & the hotel industry
Natural mineral water has become a real quality feature in upscale gastronomy and the hotel industry. More and more businesses are consciously relying on mineral water from sources protected against contamination, which is bottled directly at source. For you as a host or entertainer this means: You offer your guests certified purity, consistent quality and a trustworthy drinking experience – a real advantage for service and professionalism.
Mineral water is the only foodstuff in Germany that is officially certified and subject to strict controls. Especially in fine dining, water does not simply accompany the meal, but adds to the overall culinary experience and exclusive ambience. Clearly marked origin and the pure taste round off the service standard and strengthen the level of trust your guests have.
