At INTERBAD 2020, the European Waterpark Association e.V., in cooperation with the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre, is showing a special exhibition entitled "Theming and Storytelling in leisure pools and spas". It is about a current trend to offer the guests of leisure-oriented pools a themed world of experiences. The most prominent example of this in Germany is the new water park "Rulantica" in the Europapark Rust. This was subjected to a complete thematic organization after the model of international water and leisure parks. The "story" on which the design is based is accompanied by a musical in the Europapark and films in all social media channels.

Similar to "Rulantica", the Spreewelten in Lübbenau have also based the design of their family bath on a story that the young guests find everywhere in the bath in the backdrops and also in listening stations: A group of adventurous penguins set off from Tierra del Fuego to discover the world. In the Spreewald, of all places, they find a new home. The "highlight" of this story: a group of Humboldt penguins cavort in the water outside the Spreewelten, only separated from the bathers by a large glass pane.

In the special show, examples of themed water parks, spas and fun pools from all over the world will be presented in addition to the leisure pools mentioned above.
