Exhibition SWIMMING IN ATMOSPHERE

Exhibition: SWIMMING IN ATMOSPHERE - WATER WORLDS II
The exhibition presented thirteen selected projects from the portfolio of 4a Architekten. Using models, plans and photos, they illustrated the diversity and complexity of today's pool construction - from school pools to thermal baths, from sports pools to wellness facilities, from energy self-sufficient swimming pools to the first indoor pool in modular timber construction. In each case, the focus was on a central key element of swimming pool architecture. Short video statements explained what drives 4a Architekten when designing their sometimes free forms, how they bring atmosphere into the pool and which factors are relevant in terms of economic efficiency and sustainability. With their bathroom projects, 4a Architekten are among the offices that primarily create architecture for people - as Günter Behnisch once put it. Their bathrooms are characterised by a special feel-good atmosphere. But how is this created and what conditions does the architecture need to fulfil? These questions form the central theme of the exhibition, which was created in collaboration with OUP Visual Communication.
