What is CARS 2.0?

The Cluster Automotive Region Stuttgart 2.0 (CARS 2.0) - Transformation Network for the Automotive and Mechanical Engineering Industry is aimed at start-ups, small and medium-sized companies in the automotive and mechanical engineering sectors in the Stuttgart and Neckar-Alb regions. The project supports the target groups in successfully mastering the challenges of transformation. This is achieved by creating a network and providing information and services on new technological developments, training opportunities and current funding programmes. The interaction between industry, research, employers and employees also enables tailor-made offers for companies at all levels - from management to works councils to individual employees.

The CARS 2.0 project is coordinated by Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart GmbH and funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology as part of the "Transformation Strategies for Regions in the Automotive and Supplier Industry" programme.
