CastForge closes gap in trade fair landscape06.10.2017 - 11:39
The industry for castings and forgings as well as their machining will meet in the future at CastForge in Stuttgart: The new trade fair in Messe Stuttgart's portfolio will take place for the first time from 5 to 7 June 2018. It showcases the entire value-added chain from the cast or forging blank to machining through to the final component and for the first time offers manufacturers a platform to present their range of cast iron, grey cast iron and spheroidal graphite iron as well as non-ferrous castings and forgings to a wide audience.
"As industry insiders confirm, the business climate in the casting and die forging area is currently very good and everybody is optimistic about the future. To date there has not been a suitable presentation and information platform for exhibitors and customers. Therefore, it was only a logical step for us to develop a trade fair concept which closes this gap in the trade fair landscape", explains Ulrich Kromer von Baerle, CEO of Messe Stuttgart. "We are now bringing supply and demand together for the first time. The positive feedback from providers from Germany and abroad reaffirmed our decision", added Kromer.
The concept is not only well-received by foundries, forges and processors. The purchasers surveyed as part of the strategic market research on the user side are also looking forward to CastForge.
"The idea of a new trade fair in Stuttgart is very good. If Messe Stuttgart manages to get new suppliers with high-quality and reasonably priced offers to southern Germany, we will use this event to expand our network of suppliers", states Jörg Schulz from Gebr. Heller Maschinenfabrik GmbH, Strategic Purchasing Department.
The Federal Association of Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics (BME) supports the idea of the new trade fair for castings and forgings: "We think this is a great starting point in the right location. The topic of castings and forgings is also on our agenda. For example, we have been organising the BME forum 'Procurement of Castings and Forgings' for many years in the interest of our members. Against this background we are currently sounding out possible forms of a close collaboration together with Messe Stuttgart", explains Dr. Silvius Grobosch, Member of the Executive Committee of the BME.
In addition to the focus on castings and forgings as well as their machining, Stuttgart as an event venue also convinces: Southern Germany is one of the most important industrial locations in Europe and with its excellent innovative and economic power offers the best conditions for a successful trade fair début. Many customer industries such as vehicle, machine and plant construction are located here.
Tanja Kanzy, Marketing Manager at Kullen-Koti GmbH, also confirms this: "A trade fair for castings and forgings in Stuttgart is very interesting based on the regional customer structure. The event appeals to our company both from a procurement and sales perspective."
As a trade fair, CastForge places its focus on castings and forgings and their machining. The industry will meet for the first time in Stuttgart from 5 to 7 June 2018 to present its unique range of products and services. International exhibitors will present their products to a wide range of visitors from mechanical engineering and plant construction, automotive and drive technology, construction machinery, pumps and hydraulic engineering and also the supply industry. The information provided to CastForge visitors is rounded off by other concurrent industry trade fairs: Global Automotive Components and Suppliers Expo, Engine Expo, Automotive Interiors Expo, Automotive Testing Expo, Surface Technology Germany and LASYS, the international trade fair for laser material processing. Messe Stuttgart is located right next to the international Stuttgart Airport and has a direct junction onto the A8 motorway.zurück zur Übersicht
