f-cell Award 2022

Hydrogen and fuel cells play a crucial role in achieving climate targets. With the aim of recognizing outstanding developments in one of the most promising fields of technology of our time and stimulating further innovation, the Innovation Award for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells will be presented in three categories at f-cell. Each award is endowed with 10,000 euros.

The annual f-cell Award is supported by the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and the Energy Sector Baden-Württemberg, the Stuttgart Region Economic Development Corporation and Messe Stuttgart and will be presented on October 4 by Thekla Walker, Minister for the Environment, Climate and the Energy Sector of Baden-Württemberg, during the opening planery of the f-cell conference. In addition, the award winners will be honored during the f-cell Networking Night.


Category 1

Research & Development

This category is aimed at academics, universities and research institutes. However, companies are also welcome to submit relevant R&D projects.

Category 2

Products & Markets

This category is aimed at companies and institutions with market-oriented research and application ideas in the field of hydrogen and fuel cells.

Category 3


This new category focuses on imaginative founders with the aim of promoting entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial spirit. CODE_n, based in Stuttgart, is a global innovation hub and supports this award category.
