Circular construction meets light design

The construction sector is in a profound transition process where circular economy and sustainable design are no longer trends but necessities.

But how can the principle be applied to lighting design? What are the obstacles and how can they be overcome?

In her lecture, Sabine De Schutter explained how resource efficient light design and modular lighting solutions can contribute to a sustainable transformation in the construction sector.

Can lighting be sustainable, functional and aesthetic at the same time?

Providing insights into real projects, she described the challenges and chances they met in planning lighting in a circular, flexible and energy efficient manner. She also examined the role of upcycling, dismantlability and energy efficiency of lighting solutions.

The lecture was intended for planners who are ready to rethink the lighting and construction sector.

The lecture was held in German.
