Light design - opening reception
Trends in Light Design - At eltefa 2025, the German light design award DER DEUTSCHE LICHTDESIGN-PREIS was presented in a special show area located right in the centre of the light-themed exhibition hall.
In projects of all sizes, architects rely more and more on support from light designers who bring their extensive knowledge of the technical facts, the psychological effects in the perception of light and the design aspects to the design of lighting solutions.
At eltefa 2025, the nominees for the German light design award DER DEUTSCHE LICHTDESIGN-PREIS were presented. Since 2011, the award has been given annually to recognise outstanding light design projects from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. The Award ceremony to honour the winners in the various categories has become a fixture in the industry calendar.
In 2025, the second Audience Award has been presented. In preparation, the Jury selected a number of projects that the specialist audience of eltefa could vote for. Among the participants in the voting, two tickets for the gala award event were drawn.
