Online edition of didacta – première for the education trade fair
In what direction are German kindergartens, schools and training companies heading? What conclusions are managers drawing from the corona pandemic? What is the remit of the education industry? These key questions will be the focal points of the first online edition of didacta, the education trade fair, which will be held from 10 to 21 May 2021 and is aimed at educators, teachers and trainers.
Messe Stuttgart and the Didacta Association were forced to cancel didacta, Europe's largest education trade fair, as an attended event on account of the pandemic. However, everyone interested in education and training will not have to forgo key aspects of the programme. "didacta lives from the exchange of ideas and information between education and training managers across all areas of education and training. We also want to impart this special character of the event in an online format. We are therefore planning four programme threads:
Kindergartens, schools, digitalisation, education, and further training/further education. Specialists, teachers and educational institutions will still be able to obtain information in their special discipline, interact with one another and also think outside the box," said Reinhard Koslitz, Managing Director of the Didacta Association.
In addition to the event offerings, the exhibitors' products and services will also be grouped on the virtual platform during the online didacta. The exhibitors will present their companies and their market solutions in individually designed company profiles. During the live product presentations and live streams, the companies will also be able to offer direct discussions with their contact persons in a video chat. Anyone just looking to establish contact can leave their virtual business card using the contact function or arrange a date for a consultation. By using the tile system in the company profile, the participants can also find topic-related industry partners with supplementary offers.
"With the online edition of didacta, we have developed a new format together with our strong partners, i.e. the Didacta Association and FLEET Events.
We are delighted to combine our know-how in this project with the industry and digital know-how of our partners and provide our participants with a forum for exchanges during this challenging time," said Stefan Lohnert, President of Messe Stuttgart.
