World premiere – a look into the future of metal machining

The world premiere of the SYNCROMILL C21-63/1500 dual-spindle machining center is the absolute highlight on Fill’s exhibition stand at AMB in Hall 10, Stand C51, from September 13 to 17, 2022 in Stuttgart. The newly developed machine type is perfectly suited to machining battery housings and structural parts for the latest vehicle generations from aluminum castings or extruded profiles. Furthermore, the SYNCROMILL C21/63-600 can be seen live in action. Large quantities are manufactured with the greatest precision with the innovative machine concept. Considerable space is also dedicated to the digital products from Fill CYBERNETICS for seamless component traceability through to automated system optimization by means of artificial intelligence (AI).

“As a leading innovator for machines and systems in the field of metal machining, we develop solutions for current and future requirements. Thanks to numerous innovations in machining and automation technology, as well as the latest developments in the field of digitalization, the entire production process is being continuously optimized,” explains Friedrich Dallinger, Head of the Metal Machining Competence Center at Fill.

World premiere at AMB 2022
With its new development of the SYNCROMILL C21-63/1500 dual-spindle machining center, Fill has set a benchmark in the field of efficient component machining. Exceptionally compact dimensions of 4.9 x 4.8 meters, an extremely large operating range of 1,500 x 1,200 millimeters, and short chip-to-chip times of 2.0 seconds are just some of the outstanding characteristics. The focus here is on aluminum structural components and extruded profiles. The flexible machine concept enables efficient implementation of various machining tasks. Intelligent clamping concepts ensure economical and reliable machining. The rapid progress in e-mobility increases the significance of lightweight construction for the automotive industry.
At the same time as the AMB exhibition, Fill is celebrating its trade fair debut in the USA. At the IMTS International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago from September 12 to 17, Fill is presenting its machining solutions to the American trade audience for the first time. IMTS, Chicago, South Building, Level 3 – Stand 338966.

The Fill Time Machine – concepts for the future
In the Fill FUTURE ZONE – a center for digitalization, research and development at the company site in Gurten, Upper Austria– experts and data scientists work continuously on developing digital products. And the resulting Fill CYBERNETICS products are an essential component of Fill’s machines and systems. Fill CYBERNETICS covers the entire bandwidth of required solutions – from the monitoring of complex individual operations and seamless component traceability, through to automated system optimization by means of artificial intelligence (AI). Not only standard solutions, but also customer-specific and platform-independent dashboards, provide an optimum overview and enable detailed analyses of production and machines. This guarantees high availability and increases productivity.

CYBERNETICS ANALYZE
Every Fill SYNCROMILL machine can be equipped with CYBERNETICS ANALYZE, an analysis platform for recording and storing relevant machine parameters. With edge computing and state-of-the-art software architecture, the required evaluations and analyses can be enabled and disabled again at any time. Via a connection to the Fill Cloud, analyses are performed across different machines and plants, allowing both the algorithms and the machines to be continuously improved.

CYBERNETICS VISION
CYBERNETICS VISION is the umbrella term for all industrial image processing solutions from Fill. A large selection of applications is offered for different materials and surfaces. The solutions extend from simple 2D position recognition and type checks, to 3D component reconstructions, through to optical quality control of surfaces by means of self-learning algorithms that imitate the decisions of the system operator.

Complete production systems from a single source
Machines and systems from Fill are individual complete solutions that meet all production requirements efficiently and sustainably. As a general contractor, Fill supports all your processes – from machining, handling and quality inspection, through to digital networking with Fill CYBERNETICS. The machine engineering experts look forward to some interesting discussions at AMB 2022 in Stuttgart in Hall 10, Stand C51. The Fill Cocktail Lounge integrated in the exhibition stand ensures a harmonious ambiance, and Fill is also inviting the attendees to a stand party on Wednesday, September 14.
