On all show days 9 to 14:00, activities and lectures of the Foundation for young talent in mechanical engineering form an essential part of the Atrium stage programme.

On every show day at 8:45, the AMB Morning Minutes with insights, highlights of the show day, short interviews and a lot of good vibes kick of the day at the trade fair.

The AMB Award ceremonies in the various categories will take place on Tuesday at 4.15 pm and Wednesday at 4 pm.

AMB 2026 opening ceremony

The AMB will be officially opened on Tuesday at 09:30, with special guest Kati Wilhelm (three-time Olympic champion and five-time world champion in biathlon).

Expert Talk: Machining in Aerospace

On Tuesday at 2.15 pm a panel discussion on the topic of machining in aerospace awaits you.

Together with its member companies, VDMA Software and Digitalization will host a presentation programme on the AMB Stage on Wednesday, 16 September, from 12:00 to 13:30, focusing on “AI in Manufacturing.”

On Wednesday at 14:00, a panel discussion on the topic of AI awaits you, organized by WIN-Verlag.

AI experts will provide a concise overview of the state of AI in manufacturing: what advantages it offers, where it delivers value, and how companies can benefit in real‑world operations. Topics include production planning, process optimization, predictive maintenance, AI‑assisted quality inspection, and the economics of AI projects. Afterwards, a “Meet the Expert” session in the VIP Lounge offers time for Q&A and direct conversations.

On Friday from 14:15, discussions on the topic of “Smart Maintenance as an Entry Point to Data-Driven Production” will take place, in collaboration with the InstandX network.

On Thursday, 14:15-16:00, young and innovative enterprises exhibiting on the Young Innovators joint stand (sponsored by BMWE, Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy) pitch alongside companies from the Start-Up Area.
