The Quantum Effects Startup Area brings together selected international players determined to shape the quantum revolution.

The Startup Area programme includes inspiring keynote speeches and discussions, as well as dedicated networking sessions to connect quantum startups with each other and connect them with relevant people from industry, academia, policy, business angels, VC investors, mentors and networkers.

To gain even more visibility, startups can also participate in our exhibition.

In addition to the public programme, private rooms are also available for one-on-one meetings to network and exchange investment and cooperation opportunities in a confidential atmosphere.

1. Purpose of data processing and legal basis

Landesmesse Stuttgart GmbH will process your data (first name, last name, company, e-mail address, type of matchmaking, your goals), which you provide as part of the registration for the networking session, and forwards it to the recipients of the personal data named below for the purpose of selecting a suitable networking partner and subsequently arranging an appointment.

The data is processed on the basis of point (f) of Article 6 (1) GDPR. The legitimate interests pursued is the selection of a suitable partner and the arrangement of an appointment with your selected match partner. 

2. Recipients of the personal data

Your personal data will be transferred to Bosch Quantum Sensing/ Robert Bosch GmbH. Bosch will process your personal data to select a suitable match partner and to arrange an appointment. Bosch will contact you after the registration.

Furthermore, it is possible that your personal data will be transferred in advance to the match partner selected for you.

3. Period of storage

We store your personal data until the end of the event (Quantum Effects). Afterwards, your personal data will be deleted.  

4. Information on Article 26 GDPR

As Landesmesse Stuttgart and Bosch Quantum Sensing / Rober Bosch GmbH jointly determine the purposes of the processing, they are joint controllers for the protection of your personal data (Article 26 GDPR).

Within the scope of their joint controllership, the above-mentioned controllers have agreed on which of them fulfills which obligations under the GDPR. On request we will gladly provide you with the essence of the agreement. Please contact us at datenschutz(at)messe-stuttgart.de.

5. Your right as data subject

There is a right of access by the data subject about the personal data concerning him, and the right to rectification of inaccurate personal data or the right of erasure if one of the reasons stated in Article 17 GDPR applies, e.g. the personal data is no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected. There is also the right to restriction of processing if one of the conditions set out in Article 18 GDPR applies and in the cases of Article 20 GDPR there is the right to data portability.

If the data processing is based on point (e) or (f) of Article 6 (1) GDPR, you have the right to object according to Article 21 GDPR. If you object to data processing, the controller shall no longer process the personal data unless he can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for further processing which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject. 

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if the data subject considers that the processing of personal data relating to him or her infringes data protection regulations. The supervisory authority of the federal state in which you live or in which the controller is based is responsible.

6. Automated individual decision-making, including profiling

There is no automated decision-making including profiling pursuant to Article 22 (1) and (4) of the GDPR.
