Black, hot and increasingly more popular!

The Stuttgart Coffee Summit was the perfect meeting place for all those who wanted to find out about new coffee-related offers and business opportunities. Wilhelma and Coffee Consulate Mannheim were presenting a unique exhibition concept at INTERGASTRA 2024: the coffee plantation experience. The special show offered the opportunity to experience and taste the biodiversity and complexity of coffee in a realistic environment.

The Highlights

The "Taxonomic Experience Coffee Plantation" was presented by Coffee Consulate and the Wilhelma zoological-botanical garden in Stuttgart. This pioneering collaboration offered you daily "Botanical Plantation Tours with Coffee Tasting" and other coffee highlights in a realistic environment.

The temporary plantation presented the three main types of coffee (Arabica, Canephora and Liberica) as well as numerous varieties and hybrids and allowed you to follow the coffee's entire journey from seed to cup.

The unique cooperation between Coffee Consulate and Wilhelma combined comprehensive coffee knowledge with botanical expertise and near-natural habitat simulation.

Experts from Coffee Consulate and Wilhelma offered guided tours three times a day, including coffee tastings directly from the plants on the plantation. You had the chance to learn everything about coffee cultivation and the ecological importance of the various coffee plants.

You had the chance to discover the "Ethiopian coffee forest" and the coffee nursery, part of Wilhelma's "International Collection of Coffee Varieties".

In addition to the plantation tours, you could expect guided tours, live tastings, special workshops on coffee production, botany and sustainability as well as multimedia stations for an immersive learning experience.

You could immerse yourself in the world of coffee through interactive panels, multimedia content and special workshops that provide a deeper understanding of coffee cultivation and its ecological impact.

This unique exhibition provided an invaluable opportunity for coffee lovers and professionals alike to directly compare different types and varieties of coffee and appreciate the importance of quality and variety in coffee.
